How long does it take to charge the battery?
The Pendant has a built-in battery that does not require recharging.
The battery life lasts for approximately:
18 months (with fall detection)
3-5 years (without fall detection)
The battery is low If the pendant flashes red
The user must call TELUS for a battery replacement
The base station must be plugged in at all times
In the event of a power outage, the base unit will use it’s backup battery for up to 24 hours. User should plug it back in immediately once the power is back on
What options are available for wearing my LivingWell Companion Home pendant?
The LivingWell Companion Home without fall detection pendant can be worn as either a pendant around the neck or using the wristband attachment. You will receive one pendant with a lanyard, along with the wrist band accessories that can be easily changed.
The LivingWell Companion Home with fall detection comes with a lanyard and can only be worn as a pendant.
