To enable future-proofing, the technician will spend a little extra time to find the right place for the equipment that will help with easy self-installation and optimal Wi-Fi performance today as well as in the future. This will mean your home will be enabled for TELUS QuickConnect and ready for the benefits and choice it provides.

There are 2 pieces of equipment that the technician will install in your home:

• A router/modem base(mount) plate where the future TELUS modem will be installed. This will be placed where the TELUS fibre drop enters your home. This will enable an easy fibre connection from the base plate to the future self-installed router/modem. Here’s what it will look like (with the dimensions 22.6 cm x 22.6 cm):

• A jack dedicated to your Wi-Fi needs. We know that ensuring the best Wi-Fi experience requires the optimal placement of your Wi-Fi access point. As such, this Wi-Fi Jack will be placed in a central location of your home. In the future, you will simply have to plug your new Wi-Fi access point into that jack and enjoy Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home

As a valued TELUS customer, we are providing these new pieces of equipment free of charge, and it will only take our technician an extra 15 minutes to install them.

Once the pieces of equipment described above are installed in your home, your home will be ready for the upcoming releases of our latest equipment, always with the latest technology.
