How to create or modify a Doorbell Recording Schedule
Learn how to create a recording rule for your Doorbell Camera that best suits your needs
Steps to create or modify a Doorbell Recording Schedule
- Log in to your TELUS SmartHome app
- Select Menu
- Scroll down and select Doorbell Camera
- Select Settings in the top right-hand corner
- Select your desired doorbell camera
- Select Pause/Resume Recording Schedules
- Pause or resume your video recording schedules by sliding the buttons under Status
Note:
- A Doorbell Motion trigger recording schedule records between 25 to 35 seconds in length. After a recording has been triggered, it takes up to 20 seconds for the motion sensor to reset itself
- The motion sensors are most effective within 8 feet and must detect continuous motion for 7+ seconds before triggering a clip on the most sensitive setting
- A Button press trigger recording schedule records between 90 to 100 seconds (maximum). The Doorbell Camera will record while you are on an active call (i.e. accessing Live View from your mobile app to speak to your guest after your Doorbell is pressed) and will stop recording when the call ends or when the recording reaches the maximum length
