Important reminders to prepare for your SmartHome+ professional installation
Here’s a list of things you need to review before your technician appointment to ensure a smooth and speedy SmartHome+ installation.
Check your eligibility and book your appointment
Professional installation is offered for most devices and in most major cities across Canada for a flat fee*. Follow these simple steps to book your appointment:
Download the SmartHome+ app
Before your appointment, download the TELUS SmartHome+ app to your mobile device or tablet. Log in with your My TELUS credentials.
Ensure you have your devices on hand
Your devices will be shipped to you and should arrive before your appointment. If this is not the case, you’ll need to reschedule your appointment.
If you ordered any of the following devices, review the checklist items below to ensure you meet the equipment and set-up requirements prior to your installation appointment.
If the technician arrives and it’s determined that your device is not compatible (i.e. you need a high-voltage thermostat), you’ll be charged for the visit.

Cancelling or rescheduling your appointment
You can reschedule or cancel your appointment up to 24 hours in advance through My TELUS.
Note
: Refunds may not be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment.

Professional installation warranty
If your device stops working within 30 days of your professional installation, we’ll send out a technician at no charge to fix the issue.
First, schedule a callback to speak with an agent who will confirm if your device is indeed broken. You can do this by going to the
Support
section of the SmartHome+ app. If required, they’ll book a technician for you.
