1. Requirements to access Prime Video app on Optik TV
To use the Prime Video app, make sure you are:
Using a 4K digital box (regular HD digital boxes do not have the Prime Video app due to technical limitations)

Subscribed to Amazon Prime
If you are an existing Optik TV and Internet customer and do not have a 4K digital box to access the Prime Video app, you need to upgrade your digital box. Please visit

2. Launching Prime Video app on Optik TV
a. Press the
apps/interactive
button on your remote control and select
Prime Video
, or
b. Tune in to channel 424 and press
OK
3. Signing in Prime Video app and registering Optik TV digital box
An Amazon Prime membership is required to access the app.
Existing Amazon Prime members:
a. Launch the app and select
Sign in and start watching
b. Follow the instructions on screen to register your Optik TV media box with your Amazon account

4. Exiting or de-registering your Optik TV digital box with the Prime Video app
To exit the Prime Video app without signing out:
Press the back or back/exit button and return to the channel you were previously watching.
To exit and sign out of Prime Video app:
When in the Prime Video app and browsing through the Prime Video library, navigate to
Settings
located on top of the page and select
Deregister your device
. Then click on the
Deregister device
button on screen. You will be required to sign in and register the Optik TV digital box when next time you launch the Prime Video app.
5. Data consumption when using Prime Video app
When using Prime Video app on Optik TV or your mobile devices, it will contribute to your data usage. High Definition (HD) content uses about 3GB per hour.
7. I currently have an Amazon Prime account. Can I link it to my Optik TV package?

8. I received an error message when setting up my Prime account through TELUS. What should I do next?
This is because the email address used to set up the Amazon Prime account through your Optik TV subscription is associated with an active Prime membership, as a result you are unable to transfer this Prime account to your Optik TV subscription.
Please sign in to

, remove the Amazon Prime theme pack from your Optik TV subscription or replace it with another theme pack. Please refer to

9. If I move, does this impact my Amazon Prime subscription?
No. As long as your Optik TV service continues at your new address. If Optik TV is not available at your new address, you’ll receive an email from Amazon Prime to update your payment method.
10. If I downgrade or disconnect my Optik TV services, how will it impact my Amazon Prime subscription?
If you downgrade your Optik TV to a package that does not include the Amazon Prime theme pack or disconnect your Optik TV service, your Prime membership will be automatically cancelled. To continue your Amazon Prime membership, please visit
amazon.ca/prime
and directly sign up for Amazon Prime to continue enjoying the benefits.
11. How do I remove the Amazon Prime subscription from my Optik TV package?
You can remove your Amazon Prime subscription by signing in to your
My TELUS
account, then click on the
Optik TV
tab at the top of the page, and select
Add or remove theme pack
. You will receive a confirmation email from Amazon once you remove Amazon Prime from your Optik TV package, notifying that your Amazon Prime membership has been cancelled.
12. Can I check if my Amazon Prime membership is paid for within my Optik TV subscription?
Yes. You can visit the ‘Manage Your Prime Membership’ at
amazon.ca/prime
where your current method of payment will be indicated near the top left of the page in the billing section.
