How to adjust the motion sensitivity and detection mode of your Doorbell Camera
Learn how to setup your Doorbell Camera’s motion sensitivity and detection mode to your preference
Your Slimline or Round Doorbell Cameras use passive infrared (PIR) and camera-based sensor triggers to determine when a clip is recorded. After a recording is triggered, it takes up to 20 seconds for the motion sensor to reset itself.
If you would like to adjust your Doorbell Camera’s sensitivity to motion, you can log into the mobile app or web portal and follow the instructions below.
Important
: The Doorbell Camera's motion detection range is 8 feet at the highest sensitivity and incrementally lower on lower settings.
Steps to adjust the motion sensitivity and detection mode using the web portal

Using the
Motion Detection
