Acorn TV allows you to access over 3,000 hard-to-find gems, timeless classics and newly-discovered favorites from Britain, Ireland, Australia and beyond.
Explore beloved quirky comedies like Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries or dive into dark, dramatic thrillers like Bloodlands. New and exclusive shows are constantly added, so there is always something new to watch on Acorn TV.
Acorn TV is available to all Optik TV customers on free preview from September 14, 2021 to September 21, 2021, on channel 377.
How to sign up for Acorn TV in an Optik TV package
Customers can sign up for Acorn TV through either:
- Adding the Variety Theme Pack to their Optik TV lineup (includes Acorn TV and 6 other channels)
- Adding Acorn TV as “à la carte” to their Optik TV lineup
For new Optik TV customers, you can sign up for Optik TV and then either add the Variety Theme Pack or add as “à la carte” to get Acorn TV included in your lineup.
For existing Optik TV customers, please follow the steps below:
- Sign in to your My TELUS account
- Select the Optik TV tab (which can be found at the top of the page)
- Select Change Optik TV Package and follow the directions to customize a new package that includes Acorn TV

- You can create a My TELUS account if you do not have one. Alternatively, you can contact us for support by phone, email, in-store or chat
Accessing your Acorn TV content
There are multiple ways to access your Acorn TV content. You can visit channel 377 or you can press the On Demand button on your remote and go to TV On Demand > Movies & series > Acorn TV. From there you will be able to access all of your Acorn TV content On Demand.
Note: You will be unable to access Acorn TV by logging in to the Acorn TV website. You will only be able to access your Acorn TV content directly through your Optik TV digital box or your Optik TV mobile app.

- How much data is consumed when using Acorn TV?
When using Acorn TV on Optik TV or your mobile devices, it will add to your data usage. High-Definition (HD) content uses about 3 GB (Gigabyte) per hour.
- How do I remove my Acorn TV subscription from my Optik TV package?
You can remove your Acorn TV subscription through My TELUS (select Add/Remove theme pack) or by contacting us. A confirmation email will be sent to you once the cancellation goes through successfully.
- Which devices can I use to watch shows on Acorn TV?
Once you've signed up, you can watch Acorn TV on your Optik TV digital box or your Optik TV mobile app.
