The speed test in the TELUS Connect app tests the connection speed from your modem/gateway to the internet. You may run a separate test to see the internet connection speed from your device to the internet here:

Need help identifying a device?
The TELUS Connect app makes it easy to recognize the devices in your network. The information about devices on your network will often improve over time.
Navigate to the
Device
tab
Select the unknown device to open up the
Device Details
page to view additional information about the device, such as brand, model, or operating system.
Note
: You can also view the MAC address of the device, which can be matched up with the MAC address found on your device’s
settings
Once a device has been identified, tap on the dots next to your device’s name to
rename
the device
Note:
Keep in mind that all devices connected to your Wi-Fi network will appear on the TELUS Connect app. This includes SmartHome devices, printers, and more.
How to clean up your device list by forgetting devices
Navigate to the
Devices
tab
Select the device you wish to remove from the device list
Tap the three dots on the top-right hand corner and select
forget device
Note:
A device removed this way will show up the next time it connects. Forgetting a device does not pause the internet on the device if it reconnects. To pause internet access, please see the “Pause your Wi-Fi” section.
To pause (or resume) Wi-Fi on your specific devices or profiles:
For devices:
Navigate to the
Devices
tab
Scroll to the device you’d like to pause, and tap the
Pause
icon next to the device name
To unpause, tap the
Play
icon
For profiles:
Navigate to the
Overview
tab
Scroll to the Family profiles card and tap the
Pause
icon next to the profile name you wish to pause
To unpause, tap the
Play
icon
Set up and manage Wi-Fi schedules
Create schedules for when your internet/Wi-Fi service can and cannot be accessed:
First, if you don't havea profile created for the devices you want the schedule to affect, let's set one up:
Navigate to the
Overview
tab
Select the Family profiles card and tap on
Create Profile
or the green plus button
Select the devices you want the schedule(s) to affect
Name your profile
From here you can create a schedule:
Select one of the ready-made adjustable presets, or create your own
Adjust or create your schedule
To add or create a schedule for an existing profile:
Navigate to the
Overview
tab
Tap on the profile you'd like to add a schedule to
To create a new schedule, tap
Add schedule
If you see a list of your existing schedules and want to add another one, tap Manage, then Add schedule.
Select one of the ready-made adjustable presets, or create your own
Adjust or create your schedule
To edit or disable a schedule:
Select the profile whose schedule you want to edit or disable
Select the schedule you would like to amend or disable
On the schedule page, tap the switch to disable the schedule or make any edits to the schedule
Never worry about going over your data plan again.
The TELUS Connect app provides a convenient view of:
Your data usage for the month
How many days are left before your new cycle begins
How much data each of the devices on your network is consuming
