Contest rules for a chance to win the most recent Apple or Android device, a $500.00 or $250.00 prepaid VISA gift card with an update to pay by Pre-Authorized Debit using banking authentication powered by Plaid.

HOW TO ENTER

No purchase necessary. Update your My TELUS billing payment preferences to TELUS pre-authorized debit through a personal bank account by using the banking authentication service powered by Plaid Inc. by completing the following steps:

  1. Go to
    Billing
    in My TELUS.

  2. Click on
    View bill
    for the TELUS Home Solutions account you want to update*;

  3. Select
    Manage pre-authorized payments
    or
    Set up pre-authorized payments
    ;

  4. Select
    Switch to bank account
    or use the selected default Bank account option;

  5. Agree to the TELUS Pre-authorized Payment Plan Terms and Conditions; and

  6. Click on
    Connect with Plaid
    , follow the prompts and set up pre-authorized payments.

*Skip step #2 and proceed to step #3 if you have a single TELUS account number.

Entrants must be an existing TELUS Home Solutions or TELUS Mobility customer and must switch their Home Solutions or Mobility service payment method to TELUS to Pre-Authorized Debit through My TELUS online or through the TELUS app between 12:00 AM EST on August 1, 2024 to 6:00 PM EST on September 30, 2024. The switch to pre-authorized debit applies to entrants with TELUS Home Solutions or TELUS Mobility services only. Pre-Authorized Payments setup using debit or credit cards or Pre-Authorized Payments that are setup manually will be excluded from the contest. One automatic entry per entrant. In the event of a dispute, the person who is the primary home solutions or mobility account owner will be deemed to be the entrant. TELUS does not accept entries by any other means. This contest is intended for TELUS Home Solutions or TELUS Mobility customers only and will be interpreted according to Canadian law. No other form of participation is accepted.

THE PRIZE

There will be three (3) prizes awarded in total. One (1) grand prize, one (1) second prize and one (1) third prize. Winners will receive one of the following prizes:

  • Grand Prize: Apple or Android device ($1,000.00 value)

  • Secondary Prize: $500.00 VISA prepaid gift card ($500.00 value)

  • Third Prize: $250.00 VISA prepaid gift card ($250.00 value)

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged with TELUS for cash or another item. If a winner is unable to accept a Prize for any reason, the Prize will be forfeited and no substitute prize will be provided. No telephone contact or correspondence will be entered into except with the winning entrant. TELUS reserves the right to substitute the prize which is, in their sole opinion, a prize of equivalent value and/or to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time. The chances of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received. If the prize awarded is a mobile device, the Prize does not include activation and all activations are subject to a credit check and the TELUS Service Terms (
telus.com/ServiceTerms
).

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to enter and to win, entrants must be an existing TELUS Home Solutions or TELUS Mobility customer who has completed the switch of their online home solutions or mobility payment services to pre-authorized debit using their personal bank account details powered by Plaid Inc. during the contest period. Entrants must be an active TELUS Home Solutions or TELUS Mobility customer at the time of awarding the prize. This contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority according to the laws of the Province where they reside. This contest does not include employees of TELUS Corporation, its affiliated companies or subsidiaries (collectively “TELUS”), its advertising and promotional agencies and members of their respective immediate households and any person domiciled with any of the above.

THE DRAW

A random draw for the Grand Prize will take place by a TELUS representative on or about October 7, 2024 (after 12:00 pm EST). The Secondary Prize (Bi-Weekly Draw) will take place on or about October 7, 2024 (after 12:00 pm EST). The third prize will take place on or about October 7, 2024 (after 12:00 pm EST). The selected entrants will be notified by email within 1-2 business day(s) of the draw by a TELUS fulfilment partner. No telephone contact or correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant. If the selected entrant does not respond back to the TELUS fulfilment partner within three (3) business days of being notified that they are a selected winner, or if the selected entrant does not meet all of the contest rules, another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. To win a prize, the selected entrants must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by email. The winning entrants of the prize must sign a standard Release form confirming compliance with the Contest Rules and releasing TELUS and its directors, officers, partnership interest holders, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability arising out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of the contest including liability arising from the acceptance of and usage of the prizes as awarded. Failure to comply with the Contest Rules or to sign and return the Release form within 3 days of receipt will result in disqualification and another entry will be drawn.

ENTRIES

All entries become the property of TELUS. TELUS assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website, for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by TELUS on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from this contest. TELUS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, cancel or suspend this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of TELUS and its advertising and promotional agencies, corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest or for any other reason. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with or unlawful in any way. Entries submitted by unauthorized means or by spamming will be disqualified. In the event that it has been determined that an entry has been made in a manner not sanctioned by these rules and/or an entrant has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant and all of his/her entries will be disqualified. Entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest judges, which are final. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.

PRIVACY

By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image for publicity purposes in all media used by TELUS, without payment or compensation. Entrants agree to TELUS’ use of the entrants’ personal information that may include contacting you regarding limited time offers, promotional offers and/or surveys. OTHER

Entrants that are customers of TELUS at the time of entry and/or at the time of prize award must have their TELUS accounts in good standing (with a current account balance that is no more than 30 days past due) in order to be eligible to win the prize.
