Take advantage of the Social Media Monitoring feature in your TELUS Online Security plan (Complete and Ultimate only) by linking your social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn) to your Norton account. This feature will monitor your linked accounts and notify you of any suspicious activity, such as changes to your account settings, risky links or inappropriate content.

We also monitor your credit file through leading bureaus to help prevent fraud, notifying you whenever there are key changes or suspicious activity. We monitor your credit, banking, and investment accounts to detect unusual activity, such as large cash withdrawals and balance transfers. If the worst happens, we are here to support you every step of the way. Your case would be assigned to a dedicated specialist who would help restore your identity, mitigating the damage and stress. You may also be reimbursed for identity theft-related expenses, such as lawyers and lost wages, for up to $1 million with the Ultimate plan.

You must set up a My TELUS account to subscribe and manage your subscriptions through TELUS. You are required to be a Canadian resident to be eligible to subscribe to TELUS Online Security. You must be the age of majority in your province or territory to subscribe.

Once you sign up for TELUS Online Security and have logged into My TELUS, you will receive an activation email prompting you to activate your subscription. The steps to activate your subscription are:

The following identity documents are supported and categorized within the vault:

i. Social Insurance Number (SIN) ii. Driver’s licences iii. Passports iv. Credit and debit cards v. Any sensitive documents with personal data (categorized as “All” in the app).

You will be required to activate your “Identity Vault” feature from your dashboard in Norton’s Identity app. Once the feature is activated, Identity Vault will automatically scan for sensitive documents or IDs in your device photo library and move them to the Vault. Identity Vault will continue to scan your photo library daily to check for sensitive documents or new IDs.

Stolen funds refer to money that scammers illegally withdraw from your financial accounts by impersonating you. When someone steals your identity, they can use your personal information to access your accounts and transfer money without your authorization.

Our stolen funds reimbursement coverage reimburses you for money stolen through identity fraud, up to $25,000. The coverage is included with TELUS Online Security Complete and Ultimate plans.
