Set up TELUS email on your computer using Outlook 2010
Access your TELUS email account through Outlook 2010.

In the Gmail web interface
- First select Google apps in the top-right corner (the 9-dot menu), and then select Account
- Select Security on the left-hand side
- Scroll down to “Less secure app access” and select Turn on access
- Toggle “Allow less secure apps switch” to On

In Outlook 2010
- From your desktop, select Start
- From the Start menu, select Microsoft Office Outlook
- From the top taskbar , select File
- From the left pane , select Info
- Select +Add account. The Add new account window is displayed
- Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types
- Select Next
- Select Internet email
- Select Next
- Type the following information:
- Your name: The name that will be displayed to recipients of emails you send
- Email address: Your TELUS email address
- Account type: Select IMAP
- Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com
- Requires SSL: Yes
- Port: 993
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
- Requires TLS: Yes
- Requires authentication: Yes
- Port for TLS: 587
- Check the Remember password check box
- Password: Your email account password
- Note: If you’ve forgotten your telus.net email password, please visit telus.com/reset to reset your password
- Full name or display name: Your name
- Account name, user name or email address: Your full email address
- Password: Your password
- Select OK
- Select Next
- Select Finish
Your TELUS email account is set up for use with Microsoft Office Outlook 2010.
