Prepaid top-ups: online, over the phone and in-store
How to make one-time or automatic top-ups to your prepaid account
To make one-time top-ups or set up automatic top-ups, you can register the following methods of payment:
Online and over the phone
This ensures your balance never reaches zero and that your services remain active at all times.
In-store
Vouchers and Instant top-ups are available in select stores across Canada.
Register your credit card
Register your credit card online
- Log in to your My TELUS account
- Select the Account activity tab
- Select Register my credit card
- Enter the required credit card details
- Select Continue
- Wait for confirmation that your credit card registration was successful
Register your credit card on the My TELUS app with your prepaid smartphone
- Log in to the My TELUS app
- Select Register payment card from the menu
- Enter your credit card details. Select Continue
- Confirm details and submit
Register your credit card on the My TELUS app with your prepaid phone
- Call #123
- Enter your 4-6 digit Security PIN (Personal Identification Number)
- Press 5 to register a credit card. Follow the prompts to provide your credit card details
- Wait for confirmation that your credit card was successfully registered
Note: You may call 1-877-277-7745 from another device. You will need to enter your subscriber number and PIN before registering your credit card.
Make a payment using a credit card
Make a one-time payment online
- Log in to your My TELUS account
- From the Overview tab, click Top-up your account
- Select Credit card from the menu
- Choose your top-up amount
- Enter the required credit card information
- Select Continue
The top-up amount is added to your TELUS Prepaid account balance.
Set up automatic top-ups online
- Log in to your My TELUS account
- Select the Account activity tab
- Select Automatic top-ups
- Select Set up automatic top-ups
- Choose your top-up preference
- Choose your top-up amount
- Enter the required credit card information
- Select Continue. Wait for confirmation that the registration was successful as well as details on your next top-up date and amount
Set up automatic top-ups over the phone
- Call #123
- Enter your 4-6 digit Security PIN (Personal Identification Number)
- Press 2 and follow the prompts to set up automatic top-ups
Note: You may call 1-877-277-7745 from another device. You will need to enter your subscriber number and PIN before completing this process.
Make a payment using a Visa debit card
Set up automatic top-ups online
- Log in to your TELUS account
- From the Overview tab select Top-up your account
- Select Credit card or Interac Online™
- Choose your top-up amount
- Select Continue
- Enter the required account information
- Select Continue. Wait for confirmation that your balance has been topped-up
Note: If you close the browser before receiving confirmation that your balance was updated, the top-up may fail. Notification that the amount has been deducted from your bank account is not a confirmation of the top-up.
Make a payment using an Interac debit card
Set up automatic top-ups online
- Log in to your TELUS account
- From the Overview tab select Top-up your account
- Select Interac Online™
- Choose your top-up amount
- Select Continue
- Enter the required account information
- Select Continue. Wait for confirmation that your balance has been topped-up
Note: If you close the browser before receiving confirmation that your balance was updated, the top-up may fail. Notification that the amount has been deducted from your bank account is not confirmation of the top-up.
Make a payment using instant top-up
Instant top-ups are available in select stores across Canada.
Top-up instantly at a store location:
- Visit a participating store
- Ask the cashier for a TELUS instant top-up
- Tell the cashier your desired top-up amount (between $10 and $100)
- Provide the cashier with your TELUS prepaid phone number and wait for confirmation that your top-up was successful
Make a payment using a prepaid voucher
Prepaid vouchers are available in select stores across Canada.
Use a prepaid voucher PIN online
- Log in to your My TELUS account
- From the Overview tab, select Top-up your account
- Select Top-up PIN. Enter the 12 digit PIN in the space provided
- Select Continue and wait for confirmation that your top-up was successful
Use a prepaid voucher PIN on the My TELUS app
- Log in to the My TELUS app
- Select Top-up
- Select Voucher
- Select Top-up account
- Enter the 12 digit PIN
- Select Top-up now
- Confirm details and submit
Use a prepaid voucher PIN over the phone
- Call #123
- Select 1 to top-up and follow the prompts to enter the 12 digit PIN
- Wait for confirmation that your top-up was successful
