- All data usage from your monthly rate plan, including shared data.
- All calls to phone numbers in Canada and within the country you are calling from.
- All incoming and outgoing texts to any phone number in the world.
- Incoming texts will not activate Easy Roam, so you can receive texts without being charged the Easy Roam fee.
What's not included
- Usage on cruise ships or in-flight will be charged at $0.75 per text and $7.00 per minute, and data usage will be blocked.
- 411 and 511 calls are subject to the standard roaming pay-per-use rate.
- Easy Roam does not cover calling North American Toll Free Exchanges (1-800, 844, 855, 866, 877 and 888) from outside of North America (additionally Mexico is not covered). These numbers are charged the roaming pay-per-use rate. Easy Roam International does not cover international Toll Free numbers. These numbers are charged the international roaming pay-per-use rate.
- Phone calls to numbers outside Canada and the country you are calling from are subject to the standard roaming pay-per-use rate for the country you are calling from.
- Calls to Sanger, California (559-726-XXXX) Carroll, Iowa (712-775-XXXX) Lake Park, Iowa (712-432-XXXX) Oglala, South Dakota (605-562-XXXX) Redfield, South Dakota (605-475-XXXX) are subject to the standard roaming pay-per-use rate.

Good to know
- Easy Roam will only activate if you use data, send a text, make or answer a call or check voicemail. Once activated it will be valid until 11:59pm in the time zone you are travelling. If you don’t want to use Easy Roam on the next day, avoid any of those actions and turn data roaming off to ensure you won’t be charged. Easy Roam is a pay-per-use feature subject to change without notice, including coverages, rates and usage guidelines.
- If you’ve already used all your data in this billing cycle or run out during your trip, you can add a data top-up.
- There’s no need to remove Easy Roam from your account when you return to Canada since it can only be activated when you travel.
- Picture & video messaging, including iMessage uses data and not text messages.
- Data usage does not apply when using Wi-Fi or if data roaming is turned off.
- When you arrive at your destination, you’ll receive a free text message to confirm Easy Roam is enabled.
- Easy Roam can only be managed using self-serve and not through a TELUS Representative.
