TELUS 5G+ Complete plans offer speeds up to 2 Gbps on shareable data, great device savings and includes plan options with roaming and long distance calling from Canada. Enjoy extra savings on select devices with our 5G+ Complete Explore plan.

TELUS 5G Standard plans offer speeds up to 250mbps, non-shareable data buckets and Canada-Wide Talk and Text.

Your 5G+ Complete Explore plan covers you for travel in 68 destinations at no additional cost. Enjoy coverage in 130+ additional international destinations with Easy Roam for $5 per day. Eligible coverage destinations are subject to change. Current eligible destinations included:

US Destinations: The U.S. (including areas of Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands).

Calls must be made to and from phone numbers in Canada and the other destinations included in your plan. Calls to numbers outside of Canada and the 68 destinations included are subject to standard pay-per-use rates. Roaming outside the included destinations is subject to roaming pay-per-use rates. Excludes premium texts. Other text messages such as texts sent to any of the 68 destinations, while in any of the 68 destinations are included.

Calls and included texts must be made to and from phone numbers in Canada and the other 68 destinations included in your plan. Calls to 411, 511, Sanger, California (559-726-XXXX) Carroll, Iowa (712-775-XXXX) Lake Park, Iowa (712-432-XXXX) Oglala, South Dakota (605-562-XXXX) Redfield, South Dakota (605-475-XXXX) are not included and will be charged standard roaming pay-per-use rates. Calls and texts to numbers outside of Canada and the 68 destinations are subject to standard pay-per-use rates. Roaming outside the included destinations is subject to roaming pay-per-use rates. Pay-per-use features are subject to change without notice, including coverages, rates, and usage guidelines.

Before you leave:

Turn data roaming ON in your device settings. Once you arrive at your destination, you’ll receive a text from TELUS to remind you that your plan is ready to use.

During your trip:

Bring your Canadian plan with you. Picture and video messages use monthly data from your plan - unless you’re properly connected to a functional local Wi-Fi network.

Our 5G Standard and 5G+ Complete plans offer different data speed options. You can get 5G download speeds of up to 250 Mbps and 5G+ download speeds of up to 2 Gbps (2000 Mbps), no matter what network you are connected to or the network logo you see on your device. Please note that speeds can vary depending on your device, configuration, the network you’re connected to, internet traffic, environmental conditions and other factors. A plan with 5G or 5G+ speeds does not guarantee access to the 5G network. 5G network access requires a compatible device and connection to TELUS’ 5G network, where available. However, even with a 4G capable device and a connection to the 4G LTE network, you can still get an Unlimited plan with 5G or 5G+ speeds.

Yes, TELUS offers two types of unlimited data plans:

5G+ Complete - Unlimited plans:

Enjoy unlimited data at full speeds with no data caps and no device throttling on your device. Use all the data you need on your device without speed restrictions.

5G Standard and 5G+ Complete plans:

These plans also include unlimited data. However, a high-speed data limit is applied depending on the plan you choose (e.g., 20GB). Your speeds may be reduced after reaching this limit. That being said, you will be able to continue using your data after that point without incurring overage charges.

Both options provide unlimited data—your experience simply depends on the plan that works best for you.

Yes, our new 5G+ Complete plans feature data that can be shared with all family members on their own data plans and connected devices on your account. You’ll receive data at 5G+ speeds until you reach your plan’s GB allowance, after which your speeds will be slowed.

Unlimited plans allow you to use as much data as you like while in Canada and never be charged data overages. After your plan’s 5G speed threshold, TELUS will reduce the maximum speed for the remainder of your billing cycle to a maximum of 512 Kbps. This means you’ll still be able to browse the Internet and use email but video quality will be reduced and other high-bandwidth applications will take longer to load. Customers are able to change their plan at any time to suit their needs, however our new 5G+ Complete plans cannot be combined with existing device balances. This means that a customer on an older plan with an existing device balance who wishes to change their plan to a 5G+ Complete plan can only do so by paying off their device balance before moving to 5G+ Complete. With all of our new plans, device costs are now clearly separated from the service plan with TELUS Easy Payment.

Yes - with the separation of device cost from your rate plans, TELUS easily allows customers to choose the phone plans that fit their needs simply by choosing a data amount. If a subscriber finds that their current data needs are not met by their plan they can rate plan change to another plan at any time, up to once per monthly bill cycle. TELUS limits the number of plan changes on a monthly basis to avoid problems with billing.

Yes, you can add a Fast Pass and enjoy even more data at 5G speeds to get you through your remaining bill cycle.
