What is the difference between TELUS Optik TV and Stream+, and which one is better for me?

Stream+ is perfect if you prefer streaming content on-demand and don't need traditional cable channels.

What if I am already subscribed to one or more of the streaming service options?

After subscribing to select streaming services through TELUS, you will get an activation email from the streaming provider (Netflix, etc.) asking if you are an existing subscriber and if you would like to transfer your membership. Existing Subscriber: you will be able to link your existing account so you don’t lose your watch history, profiles or account details. Once your account is linked, your billing will be transferred to TELUS. New Subscriber: if you don’t already have an account, you can create a new one which will be billed directly through TELUS.

What is the benefit of bundling my streaming services with TELUS?

Yes, to qualify for a Stream+ subscription, you need to be an existing TELUS customer with at least one active product on your account. Not yet a TELUS customer? Sign up for a TELUS Mobility or Home Services plan to become eligible for a Stream+ subscription.

What hardware is included?

Most Optik TV plans come with a free TELUS TV Device rental on a 2-year term. Rental fees are applicable to no term packages, and/or to additional set top boxes. The TELUS TV Device is a set-top box that brings all your entertainment together in one place. It lets you watch live TV, access streaming services like Netflix and Disney+, and enjoy thousands of Google Play apps without switching inputs. It also comes with a Bluetooth voice remote powered by Google Assistant, allowing you to search for shows, change channels and more using just your voice. What are "Theme Packs" and "Premiums," and how do I choose them?

Theme Packs and Premiums are customizable entertainment options within your Optik TV package that allow you to tailor it to your unique viewing preferences. Theme Packs are groups of related channels or streaming services, like sports, news, or lifestyle, bundled together. You can select the ones that match your interests, such as adding sports channels if you're a fan or lifestyle channels for cooking shows. Premiums include top streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, or Crave, as well as exclusive or international channel packs. You can choose one Premium as part of your package, and even add more for an additional charge. When choosing, think about what you watch the most—if you're into streaming, a Premium like Netflix might be your best pick. If you love live sports, then Theme Packs like “TSN & Beyond” or “Sportsnet & Beyond” would be ideal. What are TELUS Films & Series and how do I access them?

TELUS Films & Series is exclusive content you can access through the TELUS TV+ app. TELUS TV+ is available via iOS and Android app stores as well as via web browser at telustvplus.com. You can access TELUS Films & Series via TELUS TV+ app with your existing My TELUS account email and password that you used to subscribe to Optik TV or Stream+.
