Traditional copper or hybrid fiber networks are more subject to capacity limitations and environmental factors compared to the TELUS PureFibre network using fiber optic technology that transmits data using light signals. Internet access speeds may vary depending on the location, usage within your home network, internet traffic, as well as network management or applicable server configurations.
Internet OPTIK 250/250: The speed of the Internet services can reach up to 250 Mbps for download and upload for the Internet OPTIK 250/250 with a wired connection between the modem router and the first device connected to the network. To take full advantage of the speed, minimal computer components are required. The speed of the Internet services may vary depending on the technology environment, location, configurations, network congestion, use of services within the home and the number of users. The Optik Internet 250/250 plan allows unlimited data use per billing month for combined download and upload amount.
Wi-Fi 6 Booster: One TELUS Wi-Fi Amplifier 6 is available for free rental and requires a TELUS Internet service subscription. Signal speed and reception may vary depending on the location and configurations of the wireless modem router and Wi-Fi boosters, the location and capabilities of the wireless devices, the number of nearby wireless networks, the number of active Wi-Fi devices on the network and the construction materials of the home.
Some channels are inseparable and may count as more than one channel in the customer’s You Pick plan. Additional fees apply for specialized channels.
The digital box is property of TELUS and is available for monthly rental at the regular price of $10/month. Customers who subscribe to OPTIK TV and Internet with TELUS receive a $3/month discount on the rental price. Rental equipment must be returned in good condition upon cancellation of service, or the replacement cost will be billed to the account.
The TELUS TV+ app lets you access certain channels and on-demand titles offered on OPTIK TV from your computer, tablet and mobile. The app uses data from the customer’s Internet plan. To access a channel through the TELUS TV+ app, a subscription to this channel is required. You must be subscribed to TELUS home Internet to enjoy all of the app’s features. Remote app access is available within Canada only.
