Charging iPad

Learn how to charge your device to avoid running out of battery power. Keeping your device's battery well-charged will allow you to use it throughout the day without interruption.
- Step 1 of 4:
Locate the Lightning port on the bottom of iPad.
Note: Your device will learn how you use it so it can optimize charging. It will charge up to 80% and then wait until it believes you will start using it before finishing the charge to 100%. This will help extend the life of your battery.

Insert the Lightning cable into iPad.

When iPad is finished charging, remove the Lightning cable.
