Sending an audio message

Discover how to send a text message with your voice using the speech to text feature on your device.
- Step 1 of 7:
From the Messages app main screen, tap Compose icon.
- Step 2 of 7:
Enter a contact's name.
- Step 3 of 7:
Select the contact.
- Step 4 of 7:
Tap and hold the Microphone icon to start recording your message.
Note: If necessary, follow the onscreen prompts to give Messages the appropriate permissions.
- Step 5 of 7:
Dictate your message.
- Step 6 of 7:
When you're finished, tap the Send icon.
- Step 7 of 7:
You've completed the steps!
