All video streams as well as any video device commands are sent over a VPN connection using bank-grade AES-256 encryption. Additionally, as the account owner, by default you are the only one who can see any cameras associated with your account. The account owner may grant access to additional account members (secondary logins) to view a camera or multiple cameras’ live feed, captured footage, and/or images, as required. Our TELUS SmartHome Security video cameras use advanced MD5-based "digest authentication" for user authentication. This means to access your account’s settings or configurations, for security and privacy reasons we will be sending you an authorization request for you to approve first before we can enter your account. Furthermore, TELUS team members cannot help you set a password for a new user nor view any captured images or videos from your video cameras.
