Suspend service for a lost or stolen device

Before suspending service on your device, here are a few things to consider:

  • You'll need to pay your regular monthly bill until your contract ends
  • You won’t be able to make calls, but you will be able to receive calls straight to voicemail
  • You won’t be able to send or receive text messages, or use data and roaming
  • Services like Find My Device will only be accessible when your device is connected to Wi-Fi

To suspend service on your device, follow these steps:

  1. Log In to your My Telus
  2. Go to Plans and Devices
  3. Select the user/phone number that you wish to modify
  4. Select Device under the account number, as seen below:
  5. Select Suspend service to a lost or stolen device under Manage your Device, as seen below:
  6. Try and locate the device by following the instructions in the insert. If this does not apply to you, select Skip and Suspend as highlighted in yellow below:
  7. After reading the important information, confirm the suspension by selecting Yes, suspend my service, as shown below:
