If you have a TELUS email address that you were using to log into Google, there are additional steps that you have to follow after your email account has been upgraded in order to ensure you don’t experience a service disruption.
Prior to the migration of your email account to be powered by Google, you likely used your TELUS email address to create a free public account with Google. That account gave you access to a wide array of products and services, including YouTube, Google Photos, Google Play, Google Maps, Google Mini, Google Drive, etc.
Once your email account was migrated to Google, it wasn't migrated to a free public version of Google, but rather to the enterprise version, called Google Workspace. The access that TELUS email customers now have in Google after their migration is limited to Gmail (accessible via email.telus.net or via the Gmail app), Google Calendar and Google Contacts.
This does not mean that your data on the other Google services has been lost. In fact, by following the steps below, you will be able to retrieve your data and continue using the Google services you like. They will just have to be accessed with a new account name, not your TELUS email address.
