Setting up Amazon Prime through My TELUS
Once successfully signed up for Amazon Prime in an Optik TV package, customers will receive an email from TELUS with instructions on how to set up an Amazon Prime account. Follow the instructions and sign in to the
and follow the steps to create an account. This ensures the Amazon Prime membership is properly linked through the TELUS subscription. Please proceed to the next section for details on how to create an Amazon Prime account.
Creating an Amazon Prime account (for customers without an active Amazon Prime membership outside of TELUS)
: If you have an existing Amazon Prime membership you will not be able to activate your subscription to Amazon Prime through TELUS. However, you can enjoy the Amazon Prime Video App on the Optik TV 4K digital box on channel 424.

Enter your name, email and a desired password.
A One Time Password (OTP) will be emailed to you. Enter the OTP on the next page to complete the account setup. You will also receive an email from Amazon which confirms you have successfully activated your Amazon Prime membership with TELUS.
Interim sign up solution for customers with an active Amazon Prime membership
If you have an existing Amazon Prime membership you will not be able to activate your subscription to Amazon Prime through TELUS. However, you can enjoy the Amazon Prime Video App on the Optik TV 4K digital box on channel 424.

8. I received an error message when setting up my Prime account through TELUS. What should I do next?
This is because the email address used to set up the Amazon Prime account through your Optik TV subscription is associated with an active Prime membership, as a result you are unable to transfer this Prime account to your Optik TV subscription.
9. If I move, does this impact my Amazon Prime subscription?
No. As long as your Optik TV service continues at your new address. If Optik TV is not available at your new address, you’ll receive an email from Amazon Prime to update your payment method.
10. If I downgrade or disconnect my Optik TV services, how will it impact my Amazon Prime subscription?
If you downgrade your Optik TV to a package that does not include the Amazon Prime theme pack or disconnect your Optik TV service, your Prime membership will be automatically cancelled. To continue your Amazon Prime membership, please visit
