People with disabilities
If you’re a person with disabilities, you may be eligible for our Tech for Good and Internet for Good programs. See below for details on each program. Please read carefully and note that the eligibility requirements and application process for these programs vary.
Tech for Good
The Tech for Good™ program supports people with disabilities who require professional assistance to independently use or control their mobile device (e.g. iPhone, Android, iPad, Amazon Fire, Kindle, or Galaxy Tab). The program is primarily educational and provides customized training and support to help improve your quality of life, independence and personal empowerment.
Access to Assistive Technology Specialists with expert knowledge about accessibility challenges and assistive technologies
Personalized, virtual one-on-one assessment, recommendations and training on mobile devices and related assistive technologies
If you own a mobile device and have a disability, you may qualify for Tech for Good if you require one of the following:
Training and support on how to use your mobile device’s accessibility features
Recommendations on assistive technology, including apps, software and hardware for mobile devices
You do not need to be a TELUS customer to receive training through Tech for Good. The program supports people with disabilities regardless of their mobility provider.
Delivered by experts with specialized knowledge in accessibility barriers and assistive technologies, training is provided by March of Dimes Canada on behalf of TELUS. To learn more about how we can offer support, we invite you to apply for Tech for Good and discuss your individual needs with our Assistive Technology Specialists at March of Dimes Canada.
