Before you begin, make sure you disarm and power down the panel. Go to Advanced settings and enter your master code. Select Power down
Once the panel is powered down, separate the backplate by pressing the two knobs at the bottom of the panel.
Warning: The panel is shut very tightly and this step will require additional force
Once the backplate is removed, unplug the 4 pin battery connector from the board
Pull and stretch the blue tab from under the battery. Make sure to avoid pulling the tab at an angle or outwards perpendicular to the battery (towards you) - the tab should be pulled in a straight line. This will peel away the tape holding the battery in place. You should now be able to remove the battery from the panel with ease
Install the new battery by removing the protective film from the adhesive tape on the back of the battery and seat the battery into the bottom left hand plastic corner. Plug the battery connector back into the circuit board
Once the new battery is securely placed into its spot, secure the panel back with its backplate by aligning the TOP of the brackets with the backplate. Make sure the antenna is sticking out of the panel to support best signal frequency
Ensure the top part of the backplate is shut tightly before proceeding with the bottom. Once complete, click on the sides of the panel to ensure the panel is back in its place
After you finish, you may turn the panel back on by pressing the power button on the side of the panel. Let the system power up completely.
Note: You may get a low panel battery notification. This is due to the new battery charging and will need a couple of hours to completely recharge
To replace the battery, insert a coin into the slot on the bottom of the unit and twist it open.
Note: Make sure the elastic pad within the cover remains in place. Put it back in place if it falls off
Extract the old battery from its holder and replace it with a recommended new CR2032 battery. Ensure that the plus side of the battery faces up, attaining correct polarity
Test the device by pressing the button. The LED indicator should light
Replace the covers securely, verifying that the cover snaps shut
