Change or swap your SIM Card

Before you begin, you will need:

  1. The current phone number you are using or another phone number on the account to receive the verification code on
  2. Your new TELUS SIM card. Please don't remove your existing card or insert the new one yet. We'll tell you when to remove it

Follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your My Telus
  2. Go to Plans and Devices
  3. Select the user/phone number that you wish to modify
  4. Select Device among the three choices located under the account number, as seen below:
  1. Select Swap your SIM card under the Manage your Device section as seen below:
  1. Enter the new 19 digit SIM card number and select Continue

  2. Select whether you prefer to receive the verification code by text or by email:

  • If you select to receive by text, ensure you have the device on hand
  • If you select to receive via email, ensure you have access to your email account right away
  1. Select Send code
  2. Enter de code and select Verify Code
  3. Insert the new SIM card into the device. Your Sim card is now changed
