Recently, some customers received phishing emails designed to look like a request from TELUS to upgrade their account. Additionally, some customers received unsolicited phone calls from fraudsters impersonating TELUS employees. These fraudsters referenced a genuine email from TELUS regarding compensation, and attempted to access the customers’ devices. Remember, TELUS will never send emails or texts asking for your passwords, billing or personal information or suggesting support will no longer be provided should you choose to not upgrade your service, nor will we ever try to access your devices to send you money.
