All connected for good means making a difference in communities in Canada and worldwide primarily by empowering vulnerable populations through technology. With our help, your favorite charity can receive the support they need to make a difference.
Community Action Grants
Our Community Action teams serve areas outside of our major centers that have Community Boards, contributing thousands of dollars to hundreds of Canadian registered charities and non-profit organizations. TELUS Community Action teams will consider requests for funding up to $5,000.
TELUS International Community Boards
Each year, TELUS International invests hundreds of thousands of dollars in the Philippines, Central America and Eastern Europe to registered charities through our five TELUS International Community Boards. The maximum investment our International Community Boards will consider is $5,000, with a maximum of two per year funded at $10,000.

TELUS Community Funding
At TELUS, we give where we live. That’s why we put community funding in the hands of local leaders. TELUS funds eight regional community action teams in Canada, as well as five community boards internationally. With each unique community come unique needs. We fund programs that best meet our vision and clearly demonstrate the criteria outlined below:
Focus on enabling youth to succeed
Aligns with our interest in health and education
Demonstrates technological innovation in program delivery
Defines and measures social outcomes
A few things you should know:
We can only consider single-year requests
Funding for capital investments must directly support youth and involve technology and/or social innovation
Operating costs directly associated with program delivery are eligible for support, including salaries or space dedicated to a program. Ineligible operating costs are those which support the charity as a whole, including utilities and overhead salaries
Community foundations are eligible for funding only if a specific program managed by the foundation fits within existing funding guidelines.
Support for a capital campaign or general donation is outside of funding guidelines and therefore ineligible.
Organizations and programs that would be considered ineligible:
Religious or sectarian organizations except where they represent non-denominational community and social support services and special interest groups
In-kind donations such as local or long-distance telephone services, or requests for reduced rates on telecommunication rates or services
We are unable to provide regional funding for initiatives that take place outside of Canada
Funding for individuals, competitive sports teams, goodwill advertising, travel expenses or beauty pageants
