Change or swap your SIM card

Before you begin, you will need:

  • The current phone number you are using or another phone number on the account to receive the verification code on
  • Your new TELUS SIM card. Please don't remove your existing card or insert the new one yet. We'll tell you when to remove it

How to change your SIM card:

  1. Log in to My TELUS
  2. Go to Plans & Devices
  3. Select the user/phone number that you wish to modify
  4. Select Device
  1. Select Swap your SIM card within the Manage your Device
  1. Enter the new 19-digit SIM card number and select Continue

  2. Select whether you prefer to receive the verification code by text or by email:

  • If you select to receive by text, ensure you have the device on hand
  • If you select to receive via email, ensure you have access to your email account right away
  1. Select Send code
  2. Enter the code and select Verify Code
  3. Insert the new SIM card into the device. Your SIM card is now changed
