Access your telus.net email account through Outlook 2010

From your computer, select Start
From the Start menu, select Microsoft Office Outlook
From the top taskbar , select File
From the left pane , select Info
Select +Add Account. The Add New Account window is displayed
Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types
Select Next
Select Internet E-mail
Select Next
Type the following information
- Your Name: The name that will be displayed to recipients of your sent email
- E-mail Address: Your telus.net email address
- Account Type: Select IMAP
- Incoming mail server: imap.telus.net
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.telus.net
- User Name: Your email account username
- Password: Your email account password
Note: If you’ve forgotten your telus.net email password, call us at 1-888-811-2323. Our agents will help you reset your password
Check the Remember password check box
Select More Settings...
Under the Outgoing server tab, check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox
Select the Advanced tab
Set Incoming server (IMAP): to 993
Make sure the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) box is checked
Set Outgoing server (SMTP): to 465
Make sure the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) box is not checked
Select OK
Select Next
Select Finish
Your telus.net email account is set up for use with Microsoft Office Outlook 2010.
