Receive the GIS benefit
Can provide your Old Age Security statement, also known as the T4A(OAS), indicating an amount paid to you in box 21 (net supplements paid)

If applying by mail, please include your full name, return address, and contact phone number. If you provide an email address, we can expedite our response to your application. You acknowledge that by submitting the aforementioned documents by mail or email, your application for the Internet for Good program may be submitted through TELUS’ web portal by an authorized TELUS team member. Your information will be protected and retained in accordance with TELUS’ Customer Privacy Commitment.
Documentation will be used for eligibility validation and then deleted or shredded. TELUS will be recording your name, mailing address, email (if applicable) and last four digits of a unique identifier.
Individuals are encouraged to enlist the help of a friend, family member or case worker to apply on their behalf if necessary.
The Internet for Good program is provided as a TELUS Wireline service only and is not available on our wireless network or for customers accessing TELUS High Speed Internet with a SmartHub.
What to expect after you apply
We will review and respond to all applications within 1 week (response may be slower for mail in applications)
If approved, you will be sent a code and instructions on how to sign up for the plan. If you cannot find the confirmation email in your main inbox, please be sure to check your spam or junk mail folder.
