If you're a low-income senior, you may be eligible for our Mobility for Good for seniors program.

Note: Demand for this program is high and it may take up to three weeks to receive a response to your application. Please follow the application instructions carefully to avoid delays.



Mobility for Good

Mobility for Good® for low income seniors provides Canadian seniors receiving the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) benefit with low-cost wireless service. Customers can bring their own device or can request a free refurbished Android device while supplies last.

Program details

  • 3GB of high-speed wireless data per month with Peace of Mind

  • Unlimited Canada wide talk & text

  • Ongoing $25 per month rate (plus applicable taxes)

  • No long-term contract or cancellation fees

  • Digital literacy support available at TELUS Learning Centres

  • Access to free TELUS Wise® workshops and resources, empowering you to participate safely in our digital world

You can apply if you:

  • Receive the GIS benefit

  • Can provide your Old Age Security statement, also known as the T4A(OAS), indicating an amount paid to you in box 21 (net supplements paid)

How to apply

  • Confirm that you are eligible

  • If you do not have access to email, you can mail your Old Age Security Statement to:

If applying by mail, please include your full name, return address, and contact phone number. If you provide an email address, we can expedite our response to your application.

Note:

  • To avoid application processing delays, please ensure that your name, address and contents of Box 21 are clearly visible.  To protect your privacy, black out the first 5 digits of your SIN and OAS numbers. Please do not black out all the digits.  

  • If your application is approved, we will email you a verification code and further instructions on ordering your phone and signing up for the service.

Please note: 

  • Documentation will be used for eligibility validation and then deleted or shredded. TELUS will be recording your name, mailing address, email (if applicable) and last four digits of a unique identifier

  • Individuals are encouraged to enlist the help of a friend, family member or case worker to apply on their behalf if necessary

What to expect after you apply

  • We will review and respond to all applications within 3 weeks (response may be slower for mail in applications)

  • If approved, you will be sent a code and a TELUS call centre phone number to call to sign up

  • The call centre agent can help you sign up for the service or help existing customers who qualify for this program to migrate from their current plan
