Remote Control issues
Find out why your Classic, Slimline or Slimline 2 remote isn’t working and how to fix it.
Before you begin
Make sure to first identify your remote control as the steps vary slightly depending on which model you have:
The Slimline 2 remote has separate power buttons for the TV and Optik digital box located at the top
The Slimline remote has straight edges with a mode button in the upper left-hand corner
The Classic remote has a curved shape and grey buttons
Check your equipment
Your remote control may be unresponsive because its signal is weak or cannot reach your TV and digital box:
Clear any objects in front of the TV and digital box
Try replacing the batteries in your remote control
From your remote control, press the guide button
The guide menu should appear after a short delay. If these steps are unsuccessful, reset your remote control.
Reset your Slimline remote 2
You can return all advanced functions back to their original factory settings by resetting the remote:
Press and hold the options button for at least 3 seconds
The green LED next to the remote’s Optik power button will flash twice if successful
