The Moose Hide Campaign movement is growing from coast to coast to coast in Canada, raising awareness about gender-based violence and how each of us can play a role in ending it. This year, the Moose Hide Campaign team will host their Campaign Day events from Toronto, as part of their new partnership with the Government of Ontario.
Everyone can participate
in Campaign Day activities – from watching the live stream of the General Plenary and participating in virtual workshops to joining a Walk to End Violence or local event near you.
Now in the fifth year of sponsoring the Moose Hide Campaign, TELUS continues to focus on educating team members, partners, customers and local community members about our responsibility to end gender-based violence.

Bringing the Campaign to local schools

This year, TELUS team members are committed to introducing the Moose Hide Campaign to local schools and educators. The Moose Hide Campaign’s
K-12 site
is full of resources for teachers, including lesson plans, curriculum overviews and guides for Campaign Day participation. Team members from across TELUS are gifting pins and encouraging teachers to bring this medicine through age-appropriate content into their classrooms.

Walking in 16 cities across Canada on May 14

From Victoria to Quebec City and cities in between, on May 14, TELUS team members will participate in Campaign Day activities: walking, learning, fasting and connecting together in community.
Inviting the partners and suppliers that TELUS works with to join this movement is a key part of the commitment for TELUS. If only a handful of corporations are raising awareness about the issue, the end of gender-based violence will be out of reach. By inviting partners to join TELUS team members at the Walks and introducing the movement at meetings ahead of
Campaign Day
, TELUS is actively encouraging other corporations and organizations to contribute to this movement in ways that work for their teams.
Every individual and organization is called to respond to the
231 Calls for Justice
, and this partnership with the Moose Hide Campaign is part of TELUS’ response.
