To open the case, twist a small screwdriver in case slot
Insert a new CR2032 lithium coin battery into the transmitter
Snap the sensor onto the mounting plate

Insert four new AA batteries
Close the front panel

Use a Phillips Screwdriver to loosen the three screws (two located on the side and one at the bottom of the device) and remove the cover from the door lock
Slide-out the battery pack from the interior assembly
Insert 4 new AA batteries into the battery pack
Return the battery pack into the interior assembly
Replace the cover and tighten the screws

If necessary, loosen the captive lock screw and lift the cover off.
Remove 4 screws that secure the detector to the back box.
Observe the proper polarity and replace the batteries with a new CR123A battery
After restoring a low battery trouble, the system may take up to 5 minutes to clear the trouble signal

Remove the smoke alarm from its mounting base by twisting the smoke alarm counterclockwise. Remove the battery
To ensure proper power-down sequence, wait a minimum of 20 seconds before installing a new battery
Install a new 3-volt CR123A Lithium battery in the battery compartment
Reinstall the smoke alarm onto the mounting base by turning the smoke alarm clockwise
Test the smoke alarm. The green LED should blink about once every 10 seconds to indicate normal operation. If the battery is not installed correctly, the smoke alarm will not operate and the battery may be damaged. If the smoke alarm does not appear to be sending a signal during any of the tests, check for correct battery installation and for a fully charged battery
