As part of our Finance Team, you’ll help deliver the best business decisions, enabling consistent and strong results for our business. The Senior Statutory Account role is a brand new role that will be responsible to accounting as part of a cross functional team. The role holder will be an experienced Accountant with some auditing experience, who is able to leverage accounting technologies to help us deliver the very best service to our business. Ideally you will have worked across other global regions.
Here's how:
- Participate in the accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly accounting financial information for international TAC legal entities
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, reserves, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency conversions
- Partner with local service providers as needed to review and coordinate international statutory filings, including bridging statutory financial and tax books to Canada IFRS
- Support tax team and local service providers to meet international regulatory and tax compliance needs, including VAT/GST and maintaining proper documentation for local country tax refunds/credits
- Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Assist in the development of global accounting policies and procedures to satisfy Canada IFRS and foreign compliance requirements
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation related to external audit requirements, and interact with external auditors as required
- Handle special projects, taking full responsibility for the successful and timely completion of the project.
What you bring to this role
- Solid experience of reporting on monthly financial information, ideally at an international level.
- Working knowledge of developments in accounting standards, ie IFRS
- Ability to work with technical accounting concepts
- Strong, practical accounting skills, ideally qualified
- Able to perform a number of different tasks and to prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met, whilst producing accurate work
- Ability to act on own initiative, quick to assimilate and work effectively with new information.
- Ability to work and communicate will colleagues at a range of levels
