Our Food, Beverage and Consumer Goods business is looking for an Account Manager (AM) to lead top-line sales revenue growth and strategic planning with our key clients across our TELUS Agribusiness Unit based in Australia. You will be working with our key clients, who include Product Companies, Retail Distributors, Food Companies and Agronomy Businesses in Australia and New Zealand to assist in revenue growth and strategic planning
This role will develop relationships from senior leadership to key project leads within our strategic accounts, identifying customer needs and tailoring solutions leveraging the TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods Platform. The role is accountable for specific annual global growth targets across the business verticals and will partner closely with the Global Heads of Agronomy and Supply Chain.
Here’s how:
- Drive Revenue Work closely across our two verticals to identify growth opportunities within a portfolio of key account customers. Lead proposals offering clients solutions including key resources and commercial terms. Partner with our sales and product owners to help create programs, tools and value propositions that effectively meet our customer’s needs.
- Develop Relationships Build close relationships with select clients to ensure a high level of customer intimacy and a consultative selling relationship. Plan and deliver regular service reviews with senior managers and stakeholders and collaborate with TELUS AGCG Business Solutions to capitalize on the breadth of the portfolio. Take responsibility for contract renewals, ensuring that the customer is satisfied and ready to renew and identifying and addressing any barriers to renewal.
- Deliver Strategic Insights Anticipate key trends and new market opportunities instituting account plans and revenue targets medium term. Compile and gather competitor and market intelligence to drive product development and competitive advantage and feed the wider business with information on potential applications / projects that may be relevant to incorporate into our product offering.
What you bring to this role:
- Ideally, 5 years of experience selling complex SaaS, enterprise data, marketing programs, and agronomic service products.
- Excellent knowledge of the agricultural input business and supply chain, including experience working with a food retailer or food manufacturer.
- Technical acumen to conduct compelling product demonstrations to customers and interface effectively with scientists and engineers.
- Ability to develop trusted advisor relationships; ag market experience a strong plus.
- Strong team player with the ability to inspire colleagues throughout the company; contagiously optimistic with unwavering integrity.
- Commercial acumen and exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills as well as the enthusiasm and resilience to bring a new service and technologies to the Ag market.
