1. HOW TO ENTER & ELIGIBILITY
No Purchase Necessary. To enter, entrants must complete and submit the online form located at www.telus.com/wfccontest. Only one entry per person accepted. No other form of participation is accepted. In the event of a dispute on the entrant identity, the person who is the holder of the email address specified on the online form will be deemed to be the entrant.
Contest runs September 4, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time to September 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (the “Contest Period”).
To be eligible, entry must be received on or before the end of contest closing date. Entrants must reside in British Columbia and have reached the age of majority. Contest not open to employees of TELUS Corporation (“TELUS”), Vancouver Whitecaps FC L.P. (the “Whitecaps”), Major League Soccer, L.L.C. (“MLS”) and its member teams, Soccer United Marketing, L.L.C. (“SUM”), MLS Canada ULC (SUM, MLS Canada ULC together with the Whitecaps and MLS, the “MLS Entities”) and each of their respective affiliated companies, subsidiaries or related entities, general partners, sales agents, advertising and promotional agencies and their immediate family members and members with whom they are domiciled (whether related or not).
Entrants acknowledge TELUS is the sole sponsor of the contest and that the contest is in no way sponsored or administered by any of the MLS Entities including, for the avoidance of doubt, the Whitecaps. TELUS and each of the MLS Entities including each of their respective agents, shareholders, officers, directors, partners, employees, successors, licensees and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for, and accept no liability whatsoever in relation to, any late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or incompatible entries (all of which are void).
By accepting these Contest Rules, entrants agree to that any and all liability related to this contest by TELUS is limited to the value of the Prize(s) as defined hereinafter.
2. THE PRIZE
There will be one (1) winner selected. Winner will receive the following “Whitecaps FC Soccer Clinic Experience” prize package (the “Prize”) for one (1) youth soccer team:
- Tour of the National Soccer Development Centre (NSDC)
- 50-minute soccer clinic for a maximum of 30 athletes led by Whitecaps FC coaches
- Vancouver Whitecaps FC Player appearances
- Light refreshments
For the purposes of this contest, 'youth' is defined as soccer athletes between the ages of 6 and 17 / U7 to U18 as of the date of the clinic. The winner represents and warrants that all participating athletes meet this age requirement.
Prize does not include travel. All additional expenses incurred will be the sole responsibility of the winner. The winner must adhere to the venue policies. In the event that the winner is denied entry or removed from the venue for any reason whatsoever, no compensation or substitute prize will be provided. Approximate total retail value of the Prize is $14,000 CDN. Prize must be accepted as awarded, is not transferable and cannot be exchanged with TELUS for cash. No telephone contact or correspondence will be entered into except with the winning entrant. TELUS reserves the right to substitute the Prize, or any portion of the prize, which is, in their sole opinion, a prize of equivalent value and/or to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time. The chances of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received.

The winning youth soccer team must be accompanied by a minimum of two (2) to four (4) adult chaperones (aged 19 or older), which must include at least one (1) designated head coach or team manager. Chaperones are responsible for the behavior and supervision of all youth participants for the duration of the event. Participation in the Prize is subject to the winner obtaining and delivering to TELUS a fully executed Parental/Legal Guardian Consent, Assumption of Risk, and Liability Release Form (the "Participant Release") signed by a parent or legal guardian for every youth athlete attending the clinic, prior to the event date. Any youth athlete who does not have a signed Participant Release will not be permitted to participate.
3. THE DRAW
A random draw for the Prize will take place at the TELUS office located at 25 York Street, Toronto, ON M5J 2V5, on or about September 14, 2026 at approx. 12:00pm ET by a TELUS representative. Selected entrant will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail. No telephone contact or correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within two (2) business days, or if the selected entrant does not meet any of the contest requirements, another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entries.
In order to be declared the winner and redeem the Prize, the selected entrant must: (i) correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question; (ii) sign and return TELUS’ standard release form; and (iii) collect and deliver to TELUS a signed Parental/Legal Guardian Consent and Liability Release Form for each and every minor participating in the clinic, executed by their parent or legal guardian.
The Participant Release must confirm that the parent or legal guardian: (a) explicitly consents to the minor's participation in the clinic and related activities; (b) acknowledges and assumes all risks associated with athletic activities and physical training; and (c) agrees to fully release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties and MLS Entities from any liability, claims, actions, damages, or injuries arising out of or in connection with the minor's participation in the Prize or travel related thereto.
Failure to answer the skill-testing question correctly, failure to sign and return the entrant release, or failure to provide completed Participant Releases for all attending minors within fourteen (14) days of notification (or at least seven (7) days prior to the clinic date, whichever is earlier) will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the Prize, and another entrant may be selected.
4. PRIVACY
By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image for publicity purposes in all media used by TELUS, without payment or compensation. Entrants agree to TELUS’ use of the entrants’ personal information that may include contacting you regarding limited time offers, promotional offers, latest news, products, upcoming events and/or surveys. For the purposes of entering this contest, your personal information will be shared with the Vancouver Whitcaps FC (“Whitecaps”). We assure you that your email address will not be shared with any other third party. You can withdraw your consent to receive electronic messages from TELUS or Whitecaps at any time. .5. OTHER
All entries become the property of TELUS. TELUS assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged entries. TELUS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, cancel or suspend this contest without prior notice. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with or unlawful in any way. Entries submitted by unauthorized means will be disqualified. In the event that it has been determined that an entry has been made in a manner not sanctioned by these rules and/or an entrant has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant and all of his/her entries will be disqualified. Entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest judges, which are final. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
All entrants that are customers of TELUS at the time of entry and/or at the time of Prize award must have their TELUS accounts in good standing (with a current account balance that is no more than 30 days past due) in order to be eligible to win the Prize.
Each entrant agrees to and hereby (i) releases and holds harmless each of the Released Parties and MLS Entities including, for the avoidance of doubt, the Whitecaps, as applicable, from and against any and all manner of action, cause of action, claim or demand, loss or injury, use or misuse of a prize or any travel related thereto, and the use of entries by the sponsor, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract and fundamental breach, any dissatisfaction of any kind by a winner with any aspect of the contest or any prize, liability for physical injury, death or property damage which the entrants, guests, their heirs, successors or assigns, have, might have or could have suffered, by reason of or arising out of the entrant’s participation in the contest and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by the entrant of prized as awarded; and (ii) indemnifies the Released Parties and MLS Entities including, for the avoidance of doubt, the Whitecaps, as applicable, against any loss, damage or expense, including legal fees, that any of the MLS Entities may suffer or incur as a result of any non-compliance by entrants with any of the contest rules or participation in the contest and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by an entrant of a prize, and the use of entries by the sponsor.
