Response to humanitarian crisis in the Middle East

In light of the devastating and horrific civilian casualties taking place in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank, the TELUS team stands united in our support of the victims and their families.  

We denounce and condemn all acts of hatred and violence and stand unwaveringly in support of the principles of peace, compassion and humanitarianism.

As innocent lives continue to be lost or forever brutally changed, including many children, our hearts are with the victims and their families including our team members and friends who have loved ones in the regions.

As a demonstration of our support, our TELUS team in Canada is:

  • Waiving all long distance and text message fees in Israel, Gaza and West Bank, as well as roaming charges until April 6, 2024

  • Activating Text-to-Donate through the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation® by texting DONATE to 41010. Funds raised will be directed to Canadian registered charities providing on-the-ground humanitarian support in the regions. 

  • Providing a free 24/7 TELUS Health community crisis hotline for individuals seeking professional emotional support and/or referral to community resources by calling 1-844-751-2133.
