Mobility for Good
A collaboration between TELUS and Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada (CAFC) and select Centre de Jeunesse Foundations, Mobility for Good® helps youth aging out of care achieve independence by providing them with a free phone and a choice between a free or low-cost plan. This enables them to stay in touch with friends and vital support networks, search for somewhere to live, find education and job opportunities, and build credit.

Application information
- Have lived experience in the child welfare system and can produce a letter of eligibility completed on your behalf by a ministry/agency representative
- Are between the age of majority in the province where you currently reside (see below) and age 26 at the time of your application
• Age 18 in AB, MB, ON, P.E.I., QC, SK.
• Age 19 in B.C., N.B., N.L., N.W., N.S., NU, Y.T. - Meet the specific requirements of the province where you were in care:
Quebec: Were in temporary or permanent care of the Director of Youth Protection up until their 18th birthday
- We will review and respond to all applications within 1 week (response may be slower for mail in applications)
- If approved, you will be sent a code and information on how to order your phone and plan. If you cannot find the confirmation email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk mail folder.
- The phone and SIM card will be shipped directly to you.
- Download aletter of eligibilityspecific to the province in which you were in care
- Ask an official representative (worker, employee, volunteer) from a youth agency/organization/Ministry to confirm your care status and complete the letter of eligibility (note that this is the same letter used for the Internet for Good program).
- Submit your application via the online portal below
Please note:
If you were in care in one province but have since moved to another province or territory, you are still eligible to apply as long as you are at the age of majority in the province where you currently reside.

Application information
- Have been in the child welfare system and can produce a letter of eligibility completed on your behalf by a ministry/agency representative
- Are between the age of majority and age 26 at the time of your application
- Meet the specific requirements of the province where you were in care:
Quebec: Were in temporary or permanent care of the Director of Youth Protection up until their 18th birthday
- Documentation will be used for eligibility validation and then deleted or shredded. TELUS will be recording your name, mailing address, email (if applicable) and last four digits of a unique identifier.
- Individuals are encouraged to enlist the help of a friend, family member or case worker to apply on their behalf if necessary.
- The Internet for Good program is provided as a TELUS Wireline service only and is not available on our wireless network or for customers accessing TELUS High Speed Internet with a SmartHub.
- We will review and respond to all applications within 1 week
- If approved, you will be sent a code and a TELUS call centre phone number to call to sign up. If you cannot find the confirmation email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk mail folder.
- The call centre agent can help you sign up for the service or help existing customers who qualify for this program to migrate from their current plan
- Download a letter of eligibility specific to the province in which you were in care
- Ask an official representative (worker, employee, volunteer) from a youth agency/organization/Ministry to confirm your care status and complete the letter of eligibility (note that this is the same letter used for the Mobility for Good program).
- Submit your approved documentation to[email protected].
