This tutorial will walk you through the process of copying data from an older phone using a wireless connection during the initial setup of your Pixel.
  1. 1 - Tap Get started.
  2. 2 - Select your Wi-Fi network, enter its password, and tap Connect.
    • Note: To enable wireless transfer, ensure your old device is connected to the same network.
  3. 3 - Tap Next.
  4. 4 - Tap Next again.
    • Note: Tap Can’t use old device? if you would like to restore your information from a Google backup instead.
  5. 5 - Tap No cable?
  6. 6 - Tap Copy without cable.
  7. 7 - Tap Next.
    • Note: Tap Switching from iPhone or iPad? if you are transferring your information from an Apple device.
  8. 8 - Find and tap the Google app icon on your old device, then tap Next on your new device.
  9. 9 - Follow the instructions on-screen to connect your old device for sending data. Once ready, tap Copy on your old device.
  10. 10 - Enter your Google account password, then tap Next.
  11. 11 - Choose what you'd like to copy from your old device and then tap Copy.
  12. 12 - You've completed the steps!
