Steps List - Interactive list of steps. Select a step to read its corresponding text, and to see its Product Image and the Indicators necessary to complete the step.

1. 1 - Within the Settings app, tap Cellular.

   • Note: Assuming your carrier has given you a QR code to activate the eSIM for your new cellular plan, have that pulled up on a nearby device. Also, CELLULAR may be called CELLULAR DATA or MOBILE DATA on your device.
2. 2 - Tap Set Up eSIM.

   • Note: Your options may differ from what is being displayed.
3. 3 - Select Use QR Code.
4. 4 - Place the QR code provided by your carrier within the camera frame.

   • Note: You can tap Enter Details Manually if your carrier didn’t provide a QR code. The rest of this tutorial will assume you’ve scanned a QR code with your device.
5. 5 - Tap Activate eSIM.

   • Note: Your device will begin to activate your new eSIM, this process may take a few minutes.
6. 6 - Tap Continue.
7. 7 - Tap Continue again.
8. 8 - Tap Continue again.

   • Note: You can give each of your cellular plans a label, such as “personal” or “business.” This makes it easier to pick the right plan for calls and messages or when selecting a default plan and number to use with specific contacts.
9. 9 - Select a default plan for calls and messages. Tap Continue to select one for iMessage and FaceTime.

   • Note: The labels will match whatever you set in the previous step.
10. 10 - Select the default plan and number to use for cellular data. Tap Done to complete eSIM setup.

    • Note: When you’re on a call on one line, your device can use your other line for data if you enable Allow Cellular Data Switching.
11. 11 - You've completed the steps!
