If you want to use an alternative email program to access your TELUS email, follow the instructions below. If you require assistance or need additional support, please contact the provider of your alternative application:
Step 1: Allow your devices to access your email account
Go to the
Google apps menu
(the 9-dot menu) and select
Account
Select
Security
on the left-hand side
Scroll down to “Less secure app access” and select
Turn on access
Toggle “Allow less secure apps switch” to
On
Step 2: Enable IMAP or POP access
Click on the
gear icon
in the upper right corner and select
See all settings
From the top menu, select
Forwarding and POP/IMAP
In that menu under POP access, select
Enable POP
Step 3: Update your IMAP or POP settings on your device
