TELUS DNS Security Service Terms

The terms in this section, called the “service terms”, apply to a group of services or a specific service within a group. The terms in this section apply to the DNS Security services (“
TELUS DNS Security
”) that, when subscribed for, forms part of HSIA Services. TELUS DNS Security is an “add-on” to the HSIA Services and cannot be subscribed for separately from HSIA Services.

1.1 General Description

TELUS DNS Security provides the first line of defense against threats on the Internet, by blocking them before they ever reach the network or endpoints, blocking requests to malicious destinations (domains, IPs, URLs) before a connection is established, preventing phishing, malware infections and data exfiltration. TELUS DNS Security is cloud delivered using vendor software platform (“Cisco Umbrella EasyProtect”).

1.3 Configuration and Activation

Configuration

We will configure TELUS DNS Security at the time of your HSIA Services installation.

Your service will be activated with the installation of your HSIA Services.

1.4 Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for any additional security measures to safeguard your network from cybersecurity threats and use your network in a responsible and secure manner.

Support

TELUS Services Help Desk will provide 24 hour, 7 days per week assistance on a reasonable effort basis.

1.5 Service Cancellation

Cancellation Charge

When your HSIA Services are cancelled or when you cancel TELUS DNS Security, we calculate the service cancellation charge using the table below. The service cancellation charge is the aggregate of the percentage of the total monthly fixed charges for TELUS DNS Security remaining for the service period after cancellation.
