How do I request an audio conference account or make changes to my existing account?

Contact a TELUS conference representative via: teleconferencing@telus.com or 1-877-944-MEET (6338). Agents are available 24/7/365.

to see the complete list of touch-tone commands, features and options.

What can I do if there is noise, music or an echo in my conference call?

Noise in the conference call can come from a variety of sources. Cell phones and speakerphones are common culprits. Here are some strategies to solve noise issues:

  • Ask conference participants who are not speaking to press *6 to mute their line. To un-mute, they simply press *6 again. This is especially useful for participants on cell phones or other noisy lines that may be disruptive to the meeting.

  • If you are using a speakerphone, ensure it is in a quiet location. If you are using a projector during your phone conference, ensure the speakerphone is kept as far away from the projector as possible to limit fan noise. Mute the speakerphone when you are not speaking.

  • If you are the host, you can mute all participants by using Lecture Mode. Only your line will remain enabled. This is useful for audio meetings or presentations where you don’t want any interruptions. Press *9 to enable Lecture Mode. Pressing *9 again will re-enable all participants’ lines.

  • Press *0 to speak to a TELUS conference representative while you’re on your conference call. The representative will most likely be able to diagnose the problem causing noise and take corrective action to ensure a successful audio conference.

How can I tell who is in my audio conference meeting?

If you are the host, you can obtain an automated roll call anytime during the meeting by pressing *#2.

This is not recommended. Linking callers via three-way calling to an audio conference is likely to cause significant adverse sound quality issues. All participants should dial directly into the phone conference.

What is the proper process to report a problem with TELUS Audio Conferencing?

  • It is important that the proper reporting procedure be followed to ensure prompt resolution:

  • Press *0 while on your teleconference to report the issue to a conference representative. In most cases, the agent can solve the problem while the call is in progress.

  • Be sure to have the following information ready:

    • conference dial-in phone number or conference reference number

    • participant / moderator PIN code

    • description of the issue

  • If your phone conference has ended, call 1-877-944-MEET (6338)

  • TELUS conference representatives are available 24/7/365.
