Let’s make our planet healthier: TELUS community cleanups

Jul 15, 2022
May marked the 17th annual TELUS Days of Giving in a big way. At TELUS, we give where we live, helping communities in need across the globe. Since 2000, our TELUS family has contributed more than 1.8 million days of service and enabled 360,000 volunteers to give back to their communities.
This year,
TELUS’ National Sustainability Council
organized several community cleanups across Canada where volunteers picked up garbage in parks, parking lots, sidewalks, and along shorelines and trails. They also collected valuable data to help inform future initiatives by municipalities and organizations like Ocean Wise who have initiatives like the
Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup
(one of our teams collected 600+ cigarette butts in under two hours near Terminal Ave, Vancouver).
These events were a huge success, with over 250 team members participating throughout the month, and a great way for team members to get outside, reconnect and work together to make our planet healthier.
Here are some pictures submitted by our amazing volunteers. Thanks to everyone who participated in giving where they live. Your communities and your planet thank you.
