Send and receive text messages internationally

Below are instructions on how to send international text messages. For pricing information please visit the texting section on TELUS Add-ons

1. Compose a text message then enter the following in the ‘To’ field: 011, then the country code, then the region code, then the mobile phone number. Find a list of country codes

2. Select Send

International text messaging rates apply per each message sent.

   Note: The + symbol can be obtained on most devices by pressing and holding 0 for a few seconds.
2. Select Send

International text messaging rates apply per each message sent.

You can send or receive international text messages from anywhere you can use regular text messaging.

Note: Standard local rates apply upon receiving a text message from an international number when you are in Canada.
