Set up TELUS email on your computer using Outlook 2007
Access your telus.net email account through Outlook 2007

- From your desktop, select Start
- From Start menu, select Microsoft Outlook Express
- From the top taskbar , select Tools
- Select Account Settings
- From the E-mail tab, select New
- Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP
- Select Next. The Auto Account Setup is displayed
- Check the Manually configure server settings or additional server types check box
- Select Next
- Select Internet E-mail
- Select Next. The Internet E-mail Settings screen is displayed
- Type the following information:
- Your Name: The name that will be displayed to recipients of your sent email
- E-mail Address: Your telus.net email address
- Account Type: Select IMAP
- Incoming mail server: imap.telus.net
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.telus.net
- User Name: Your email account username
- Password: Your email account password
- Select the Remember password check box
- Select More Settings
- Under the Outgoing server tab, make sure the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox is checked
- Under the Advanced tab verify that This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) is checked and that the drop down menu Use the following type of encrypted connection is SSL
- Incoming server should be set to port 993
- Outgoing server should be set to port 465
- Select OK
- Select Next
- Select Finish
