Set up TELUS email on your iPhone or iPad
Access your telus.net email account on your Apple iPhone or iPad

Set up TELUS email
You will need your email address and password you use to login directly to TELUS email.
Tap Settings > Accounts & passwords > Add account
Tap Other
Tap Add mail Account
Enter your name, email address, password and a description for your account
Tap Next. Mail will try to find the email settings and finish your account setup. If Mail finds your email settings, tap Done to complete your account setup
If Mail can't find your email settings, you need to enter them manually. After you enter your email address and password, tap Next , then follow these steps:
- Choose IMAP for your new account
- Enter the following information:
Incoming server email | |
Host name | imap.telus.net |
Username | username@telus.net |
Password | Your TELUS email password |
Outgoing Mail Server | |
Host name | smtp.telus.net |
Username | username@telus.net |
Password | Your TELUS email password |

- If your email settings are correct, tap Save to finish. If the email settings are incorrect, you'll be asked to edit them

Travelling internationally
In order to ensure your emails will work while you are travelling internationally, check your incoming and outgoing mail server settings:
- Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts
- Select your TELUS account
- Tap Account
- Under Advanced , scroll to the bottom
- Ensure Incoming Settings are as follows:

- Press Account to go back
- Tap SMTP to confirm outgoing mail server settings
- Under Primary server, tap smtp.telus.net
- Ensure the following is set correctly:

Host name | smtp.telus.net |
Username | Your email address |
Password | Your password |
Use SSL | On |
Authentication | Password |
Server port | 1025 |
- Tap Save if you made any changes to these settings
These settings will also work in Canada, so you do not need to change anything once you are back.
Note: Some countries may block these settings. If they are not working in the country you are in, you will have to use email.telus.net from any device.
