Schedule your upgrade to Globetrotter email powered by Google
Step-by-step instructions to schedule your migration.
TELUS is migrating all customers to upgrade email service. We’re partnering with Google to make your email more reliable, secure and powerful. To continue accessing your email, you will need to schedule your upgrade to the new platform.
By the end of this year, your current email service will no longer be active. To provide every TELUS customer with the support they need, we are asking customers to self-select a migration date.
If you have received an email invitation from us, follow these steps to schedule your upgrade.
To schedule your upgrade, click here. This will ensure that you are securely logged in to select your upgrade preferences.
You will log in using your TELUS email address and password
If you do not remember your password: Please call 1-877-520-1212 (Select the Internet services - technical support option) for assistance, and then come back to schedule your migration.
A screen will appear letting you know your TELUS email is about to get a whole lot better. Select the Schedule your upgrade button in this page.
Enter your migration details. You will be asked for:
Your migration password: Please enter your current globetrotter password. If you do not remember your password, call 1-877-520-1212 (Select the Internet services - technical support option) and then come back to schedule your migration.
Your display name: Please enter your display name. Once your account is migrated, you will be able to change this information. Learn more by visiting How to change the display name on your TELUS email.
Your migration date: Please choose among the date options presented.
Your contact information: On the day of your migration, we will send you a notification to the mobile number or alternative email address you enter here. This notification will let you know that your migration has been completed and that you now need to activate your account. Without this piece of information, we would have no way to communicate with you on the day of your migration, as you will need to complete the “activation” step in order to continue sending and receiving emails. You will have to ask and enter a 6-digit verification code, which will be sent to the mobile phone or the email address you provided in the previous step. This code is needed in order to validate that you have access to such phone or email address
Review and confirm. On this screen, you will see a summary of all the information you have provided. Select Confirm and save.
Thank you. You have successfully scheduled your migration. This last screen can be printed for you to keep it in your records
Look for an email from us, which will confirm that you have scheduled your migration.
Scheduling your migration allows you to choose a migration date that works best for your schedule. Since there are steps you will need to complete in order to activate your account, it is recommended that you select a date that is most convenient for you to complete the steps required.
By the end of this year, we will only support the new email platform, which means that if you do not take action and schedule your migration, we will automatically migrate your account in the weeks to come. If this is the case for you, you will receive a notification in your inbox in the next few weeks.
