How to change your password

TELUS is migrating all customers to an upgraded email platform. We are partnering with Google to make your email more reliable, secure and powerful. To continue accessing your email, you will need to schedule your upgrade to the new platform.

To schedule your migration to the new TELUS.net email powered by Google visit webmail.telus.net or call 1-800-361-3311.

Password requirements for your security


  • Password must be 8 or more characters in length
  • Special characters (= _ * ? # : { } [ ] , . ) are allowed
  • Blank spaces are not allowed
  • Passwords must contain at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter and 1 special character or number
  • Passwords must not be one of the last passwords you have used
  • Passwords should not be the same as a password used on another site (such as banking, online shopping)
  • Accents and accented characters are not supported

Resetting a password on TELUS.net email NOT migrated to Google yet


  1. Log in to webmail
  2. Click on Preferences
  3. Select Security and confirm if the recovery mobile number is valid
  4. If it's a wrong phone number, click on Change and type your current Password
  5. Enter the valid phone number, press OK and click on Save (save located in the top left corner)
  6. Sign out from webmail and reload webmail
  7. Click on Forgot?
  8. Enter the email address that you are trying to change the password for and click on “I’m not a robot” and click on Submit
  9. It will ask for a pass code; verify the SMS (it might take a few mins) and enter the pass code
  10. On the new tab, choose your password and confirm you password on the 2nd box and click on “Continue”
  11. It will show “Your password reset has been successfully completed.” Click on Continue
  12. It will re-direct to webmail, Please enter email and new password to login

  1. Click on the Settings gear.
  1. Click See All Settings
  1. On the Accounts and Import tab, click on Google Account Settings.
  1. On the Security tab, scroll down to the middle of the page and look for the section called Signing in to Google. This is where you’ll find the option to change your password, as well as set up 2-Step Verification.
  1. Click on Password. This will prompt you to enter your existing password, after which you will have the opportunity to select a new password.
  1. In case you forget your password in the future, it’s worth setting up a recovery phone and/or email.
